Fernando Represas

FOUNDER & CEO

Attorney with 22+ years of experience in the development, construction, acquisition, and sale of real estate projects in Mexico and abroad. Law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana; LL.M. from Columbia Law School. Licensed to practice in Mexico and the State of New York.

Prior to founding Aurum, Fernando served as Executive Legal Director of RLH Properties, S.A.B. de C.V.—Mexico’s largest publicly traded hotel company by market capitalization. In that role, he oversaw all legal, corporate, real estate, and construction matters across the company’s portfolio, including the ground-up creation of One&Only Mandarina, the simultaneous management of four hotels at Mayakobá, and the acquisition, renovation, and sale of two hotels in Madrid.

He has negotiated hotel management agreements, brand licensing, and technical services contracts directly with Rosewood, Accor, One&Only, Four Seasons, Banyan Tree, Fairmont, Hyatt, and Six Senses. He has structured investment trusts, co-investment vehicles, condominium regimes, and branded residence programs for projects across Mexico and Spain.

Before RLH, Fernando advised on international M&A at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle (New York and Mexico City) and at Aziz & Kaye Abogados, where he worked on real estate acquisitions and private equity fund transactions totaling over USD $500 million. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
